Characteristics

 

Compared to other types of powder coatings, polyurethane powder coatings have the following characteristics:

(1) When the melt leveling, the melt viscosity is low, especially the sealant does not have any chemical reaction before the deblocking, so that the powder coating has sufficient leveling time and the coating film has good leveling property. The realization of the new internal closed uretdione curing agent technology makes the air pollution of this powder coating almost zero;

(2) Good adhesion to the object to be coated, no need for primer;

(3) The coating has a wide range of preparation, and can prepare coatings with different performance requirements and curing speed;

(4) The physical and mechanical properties and chemical resistance of the coating film are good.

However, when the polyurethane powder coating is baked, a blocking agent is released to generate an odor.

Polyurethane powder coatings are mainly composed of a curing agent, a blocking agent and a polyol resin, wherein the curing agent mostly uses an inner-blocking polyisocyanate, and the polyol resin is mostly a polyester resin.
